It has been a wiz bang of a year for us here at SPC.
We saw our business really take off this year. I was
ready to fold it up when all of sudden we started
booking parties left and right. WOW…. We really went
from zero to super busy within 3 months. We are nothing
without our clients and we REALLY appreciate you all…
every single one of you. I am glad I didn’t fold and
call it quits. MY CLIENTS ROCK!
WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO
December 07 we took on the Christmas party for
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.
This was no easy task but it was such a great learning
experience for SPC and it grew into a great working
relationship with Jennifer at IBEW local 18. We have
done so many meetings for them and they really have the
greatest kitchen!. I have to give IBEW the big thumbs
up and KUDOS for helping SPC see its true potential and
we very much look forward to serving IBEW for years to
come! Thanks Jennifer and team we appreciate your
business!!!
Make sure to check out all of our charitable work for
this past year. We donated over $10,000.00 in catering
services including food to many charities. This year we
gave to the El Segundo PTA, El Segundo Middle Schools
Wellness committee, the Lymphoma Society, Make A Wish
foundation, and the gay and lesbian center of long beach
and especially the centers youth. It really does not
take much to make a difference for the youth and the
centers youth group has some really great kids who want
to make a difference in their community. I thank all my
clients for booking with us because they enable us to
give 5% back to worthy causes here at home. SPC sees
its charitable work as a blessing and we are so happy to
give so much back to great charities. Just remember
when you book your parties with SPC your giving
automatically back to your communities.
This years major charity we will be working with the
Long Beach Gay and Lesbian Center. 50% of charitable
funds will go to help the youth group programs. We will
also be asking out clients what charities they want us
to help so get your list together and email Chef Don and
let him know where your money needs to go.
NEW EXECUTIVE TEAM MEMBER!
I need to welcome to my executive team one of the
most astonishing women I have met. Pamela Graham is a
super talented chef and I have brought her on board as
my Executive Catering Chef. Pam will oversee new
product and menu development as well as bring her unique
skills as a culinary professional to our organization.
Pam comes from New Orleans and is a degreed chef such as
myself. Pam and I have the same vision for all of you.
“Bring the best food at the best price” Pam will become
my second hand and will work for you as hard as I do.
Welcome to Small Potatoes Pam. We are happy you’re with
us.
WHERE WE ARE GOING THIS YEAR
Well there is much to be said for expansion. SPC
will be looking for another growth spurt and sales
topping over $100k this year alone. With the passing of
Gay marriage rights in CA we will more than likely be
looking at a lot of business and SPC supports the rights
of everyone. SPC believes in Equality no matter Age,
Race, Sexual Orientation or religious beliefs. We
appreciate everyone and all of our clients no matter
what.
SPC will be looking to purchase a new commercial
kitchen to better meet the need of our clients. While
we are looking about for this I, once again, ask my
clients to give me your feedback, thoughts and ideas!
I will be putting together a survey and will mail out
to all clients from 07/08 and I would appreciate your
feedback. Let us know what we did well, what we did not
so well etc. To make it fun, I am going to put all
feedback forms into a hat and draw one that will win a
tapas party for up to 20 people. That’s a value of more
than $500.00 and all you have to do is give us feedback
to be entered.
SPC is moving forward full speed and we have been
talking the talk, now we will put a lot into motion by
years end to further serve you.
